about us

Davon was established in 1996 and is a privately-owned boutique finance house specialising in providing mezzanine finance for property development projects across the United Kingdom.

We have built an enviable reputation within the property industry for providing a professional and reliable source of finance. The high level of repeat business within our loan book is testament to the level of service that we provide.

Our experience and understanding of financing a wide range of projects across many locations and product types assist us in providing fast in principle decisions.

Detailed due diligence is carried out quickly and efficiently and once terms are agreed with a borrower funds are allocated ensuring that our commitments can be honoured.

In order to make the process as seamless as possible we share reliance on both the initial valuation and initial monitoring surveyors reports with the senior debt lender. We work with a limited number of solicitors who are specialists in the field of development lending which means that the legal process is fast and efficient.

Through our many years in the business we have built excellent relationships with many of the specialist senior debt lenders in the market and we have in place agreed forms of security documentation with the majority of them which allows our mezzanine lending to work seamlessly with their debt offering.

We are a small and highly experienced team with a proven track record for providing finance to the development industry through all economic cycles. We look forward to welcoming you on board.

Following his education had a short period of time working in the family business. The core of this was supplying raw materials to food manufacturers but David’s interest was in the property investment division that had been built from the trading profits generated.

His experience in this sector led him to focus his full attention on the property industry, specifically focusing on structuring of funding for projects. David then founded Davon Limited in 1996 and continued to build upon his experience of financing property schemes, with his co-director Chris Hector joining the firm shortly thereafter in 1997.
